Research Interests & Goals
I am interested in the impact of environmental factors on ecosystems as well as in biochemistry. My dissertation is therefore a combination of ecology, toxicology and molecular biology. I am focusing in my research on the interactions of toxins produced by cyanobacteria (Microcystins) with native fish species on a molecular level. I am specifically interested on how the Microcystins get into the cells.
